Visit www.poly.com to learn more.Job Description Senior Oracle Applications DBA: Reporting to the Senior DBA Manager the role of the Senior Oracle Applications DBA is responsible for supporting Oracle EBS Instances and other mission-critical Oracle and SQL Server systems. The position has the responsibility for researching and troubleshooting application and database issues for the Oracle Applications teams including SCM, Finance, Operations and HR. Support extends to boundary systems such as OAM/OID, SOA, Demantra, VCP and Data Warehouse.Knowledge/Skill Requirements

  • Ability to manage day to day support for production E-Business Suite
  • Extensive knowledge of administering E-Business Suite
  • Perform Oracle E-Business Suite installation, upgrades, patching, performance tuning and monitoring.
  • Develop and update documentation of all DBA processes and procedures
  • Manage and configure Oracle Enterprise Manager for proactive monitoring and alerting
  • Skilled using Oracle RMAN for backup and recovery
  • Skilled cloning Oracle EBS including use of Oracle Rapid Clone utilities
  • Experience supporting WebLogic.
  • Skilled in MS SQL Server Database Administration and Performance Tuning.
  • Detailed understanding and experience supporting Demantra, VCP and SOA.
  • Knowledge of OAM, OIF and OID Identity management suite to support Single Sign-on.
  • Knowledge of E-Business Suite and Oracle database security.
  • Knowledge of Business Continuance Planning.
  • Ability to work on assigned tasks independently and assesses and executes with minimal direction
  • Ability to make sound and logical systems judgments based primarily on own technical skills and experience gained from working at a major tech company
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Understanding of current technologies and best practices related to Oracle products
  • Strong analytical/problem solving skills
  • Experience in a fast-paced high-tech environment.
Education/Experience: B.S. in Computer Science or equivalentMust have 10+ years experience as an Application DBA for Oracle E-Business Suite.Must have extensive contemporary experience with Oracle and SQL Server Database, Oracle E-Business Suite, Fusion Middleware and LinuxStrong architecture backgroundDemantra, Agile and Hyperion support experience is desirable,
