Job Description

Position Description An individual in the Architecture job family is a strategic resource for Optum, part of the UnitedHealth Group family of businesses. This individual could be involved across many aspects of architecture, design, build, engineering and implementation of technical solutions and capabilities providing technical leadership.In base and mid-level roles, engages across teams in a capacity that ranges from assisting on in-flight initiatives, up to technical briefings and demonstrations of new technologies across the organization. In senior level roles, leads business solutions, capabilities, and is a strong influencer that engages with client executives and stakeholders.Primary Responsibilities:

  • Continuous learning and keep track of the latest developments in business/technical advancements
  • Demonstrate the compassion to lead and bring value to the architecture portfolio
  • Demonstrate a strong executive presence and mentor team members in technology
  • Provide recommendations and technical guidance to improve performance, reliability, and reusability within the constraints of budget, resource and business dependencies
  • Responsible for communicating overall architecture vision, technical strategies, and trade-offs across various levels in the organization to gain buy-in
Required Qualifications:
  • 15+ years of strong solution architecture experience in variety of IT positions (Recent 5+ years of experience must be on solution/systems/ enterprise architecture with large scale complex IT systems)
  • Exposure to TOGAF 9.2, SAFE and exposure to in any of the EA tools like SPARX, ALFABET and ARCHIMATE
  • Expertise in micro services, cloud, solution patterns, network, compute, storage and virtualization
  • Experience on integration tools, work and data flow, rules, and memory and API management, etc.
  • Ability to interact at CXO level
  • High energy levels, right attitude and pleasing personality

  • Exposure to health care, health care payer organization and life science domain
