Job Description

  • Analyze, review, and trend complex healthcare data
  • Effectively communicate analysis to business partners
  • Support short and long term operational/strategic business activities through analysis
  • Determine operational objectives by studying business functions; gather information; evaluating output requirements and formats
  • Develop recommended business solutions through research and analysis of data and business process and implement when appropriate
  • Assess and interpret customer needs and requirements
  • Solve moderately complex problems and/or conduct moderately complex analyses
  • Construct workflow charts and diagrams; studying system capabilities; writing specifications
  • Improve systems by studying current practices; designing modifications
  • Recommend controls by identifying problems; writing improved procedures
  • Create informative, actionable and repeatable reporting that highlights relevant business trends and opportunities for improvement
  • Work with minimal guidance; seek guidance on only the most complex tasks
  • Provide explanations and information to others on difficult issues
  • Partner with product owners and business analysts to gather, validate, and translate business requirements for one or more of the following functional areas; member, provider, claims, constituent services, financial services
  • Understand business objectives and how technology can optimize and enable solutions
  • Collaborate with Dev/QA team to ensure efforts aligned with functionality
  • Prepare technical reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 3-5 years of business systems analysis experience
  • 3 years of healthcare industry experience
  • Experience gathering requirements from the client/business and documenting
  • Experience with process improvement, workflow, benchmarking and/or evaluation of business processes
  • Experience working with Agile development methodologies and SDCL
  • Experience interpreting user stories and applying the appropriate technical solutions to deliver operational results
  • EMR/EHR experience
  • Problem solving skills with the ability to think laterally, and to think with a medium term and long term perspective
  • Software Design and Maintenance
  • Problem solving and critical thinking
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills
  • Self-driven and motivated
  • Ability to work on multiple engagements and able to drive them independently
  • Carry a positive attitude and a good team player
