Job Description

Microsoft s Cloud business is experiencing explosive growth, and the Azure Capacity, Supply Chain & Provisioning (CSCP) organization is responsible for enabling the infrastructure underlying this growth. CSCP s vision is to empower customers to achieve more by delivering Capacity Differentiated at Scale. Our mission is to deliver capacity for all cloud services predictability through intelligent systems driven by continuous learning and a world class Supply Chain Organization. The CSCP Organization is responsible for Plan, Source, Make, Deliver, Data Center Capacity Management, Capacity provisioning, and decommissioning and disposition of Data center assets worldwide.CSCP-E Cadie is looking for an experienced, self-driven, Software engineer. In this role, you will be building an intelligent data-driven, near real time supply chain data processing platform that provides end to end visibility into Capacity Planning, Supply Chain and infrastructure deployment. You will use latest technologies like ML, Databricks and more to provides insights into potential risks, build frameworks that help in identifying root causes and proactively suggest remediation plan that will help in continuous optimization, cost savings and improve profitability in Azure Capacity management and planning. Our goal is to build an intelligent data & analytics platform that provide the right information to the right decision maker at the right time and enables supply chain ecosystem that delivers the right hardware at right times with lowest cost

  • Serve as a Data & Analytics leader in the organization Work with Department head to hire, mentor and train big data developers, data analysts and modelers, and engineers and grow the team in support of hiring plans
  • Manage delivery of multiple agile development and analytics projects
  • Ensure the team follows agile methodology, coding practices, documentation, testing methodology
  • Lead the team in technical design sessions - understand business requirements, develop designs for analytical and software solutions and engage in hands on prototyping/development to prove new designs and technologies
Serve as the domain expert on supply chain business models, data, and requirements and help team understand supply chain business context, ResponsibilitiesThe ideal candidate will possess combination of software engineering, data engineering and strong business acumen skills that will help them be successful in the role. The successful candidate will work in lockstep with Software Engineers, Data scientists, Business analysts, Product Managers and other stakeholders across organization. Your responsibility will include the following:Design & develop data platform that will enable insights to analyze and measure the rhythm of businessDrive architectural design across the engineering team using Microsoft s latest software and services and/or 3rd party or open source software as appropriate to drive operational excellence on a fast-growing, highly technical teamDeveloping ETL platform to acquire and integrate data from diverse sources like Azure Data Lake, Kusto, SQL Server, Cosmos, flat files etc.Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentationCreate reports / dashboards using Microsoft technologies like Power BI, Lens Explorer, enable self serviceCreate analytical model, performing analyses on data to identify trends, patterns, correlations, and providing insights from data. You will partner and collaborate with engineering groups, business stakeholders to predict Supply Chain & Deployment Milestones and identify risks that will help in proactive mitigation and smooth deploymentQualificationsBachelor s degree in Computer Science, MIS, related technical field, or equivalent work experience.8-10 Years Experience developing with cloud-based technologies, including relational databases, data warehouse, big data (i.e. Hadoop, Spark), orchestration/data pipeline tools.Preferred experience/skills:Experience with map/reduce big data systems and services.Proficient in data modeling, ETL development, and Data warehousing, or similar skillsProficient in SQL, Python, Spark SQL, Databricks, Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, Azure Analysis ServicesExperience with Agile software development using the scrum methodology.Experience in modern DevOps practices (including Git, CI/CD)Strong business acumen and adaptability to partner with the leadership on innovative solutions to constantly changing business requirementsExposure to C#, REST API, Cosmos DB, Service Fabric, Azure cloud infrastructure, OData & GraphQLGood interpersonal and communications (verbal and written) skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teamsMicrosoft is an equal opportunity employer.
