Job Description

Analyze, design develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for commercial or end user applications. Writes code, completes programming and performs testing and debugging of applications.As a member of the software engineering division, you will perform high-level design based on provided external specifications. Specify, design and implement minor changes to existing software architecture. Build highly complex enhancements and resolve complex bugs. Build and execute unit tests and unit plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering as necessary to discuss minor changes to product functionality and to ensure quality and consistency across specific products.Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience., Oracle Applications Labs (OAL) runs Oracle software that runs Oracle. You must have strong experience using a variety of data mining and data analysis methods and tools, building and implementing models, using/creating algorithms, and creating/running simulations. Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and have a proven ability to drive business results. You will be a team player who is eager to be technical lead and learn daily, that is proactive and self-motivated and has good communication skills in English.Key Responsibilities:Understand and work with team to meet the short-, medium-, and long-term road map and collaborate with other cross teams for data science product developmentDocument and socialize the full life-cycle of Machine and Deep Learning product developmentWork with other teams for successful data collection, aggregation, feature engineering, visualization, and productionizationExperience in end-to-end data science product development processes, experimentation, and documentationWork alongside with software engineers to translate algorithms into commercially viable products and servicesWork effectively with global teams located in multiple geographical locationsActively participate as contributor in a team of peer data scientists, understanding the collaborative and transparent relationships with development and product teams.Qualifications:An advanced degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics, or another relevant quantitative field6+ years of experience in data analyst, data engineering, or data management leveraging data to predict business outcomes3+ years of proven track record of data science and expertiseExperience using Machine and Deep Learning languages, preferably Python, PySpark, and Java, to manipulate data and draw insights from large data setsPractical experience with ML algorithms for classification, regression, clustering, recommender systems, reinforcement learning, and dimensionality reductionPractical experience in feature engineering, feature evaluation, and automation of such tasks, model interpretation and visualizationProficiency in using query languages such as SQL, Oracle database and its adaptationsHands-on experience with horizontally scalable data stores such as Hadoop and other NoSQL technologiesWorking experience and understanding of data warehousing, data integration, visualization, and data miningStrong drive to learn and master new technologies and techniquesExperience or willingness to learn and work in an Agile and iterative development and DevOps processesTeam player with great communication and presentation skills in English.
