Job Description

    What you will do
    • Work with various continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, OpenShift, and Kubernetes that enable container management and orchestration and provide support for internal infrastructure
    • Manage the branching and release strategies for productization of open source projects
    • Develop in Python, Ansible, shell script, and object-oriented languages to automate and integrate with other projects and automate existing manual system processes
    • Improve operations by conducting systems analysis; recommend changes in policies and procedures for continuous delivery
    • Improve current solutions and workflows with emphasis on simple, repeatable solutions
    • Document and demonstrate solutions by clearly communicating status and developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, and well developed and commented code
    What you will bring
    • 5+ Years of relevant experience as a DevOps Engineer and Bachelors or Masters degree in computer science or related field
    • Deep knowledge of Python, Shell Scripting, Linux and containers
    • Familiarity with containerization tools such as Docker or Podman
    • Kubernetes/Openshift experience
    • Relevant experience with creation of CI/CD pipelines and release management
    • Git and branch management
    • Good written and verbal communication skills in English
    • Problem solving and troubleshooting skills including performing root cause analysis for issue prevention
    • Ability to work as part of an international team and as an individual contributor with a proven ability to self-learn and have a technical understanding of processes
    Good to Haves:
    • Experience with Jenkins and Tekton
    • Experience working in open source environments
    • Hands-on Experience with GitOps tools and strategies
    • Firm understanding of Kubernetes operator deployments and lifecycle management (OLM)
    • Familiarity with Kubernetes Prow CI/Openshift CI
    • Experience with Golang
    • Contributions to an open source project or community
    • Presentations and public speaking skills for presentations and demos
