Job Description

    Job Code : SPBSD-3398-01 Job Title : Senior Engineer - Sales Engineering Department : Sales Engineering Role Definition : Roles at this level are responsible for udnerstanding customers technical requirement of a project, developing process concepts and work in close cooperation with BD & Sales team to deliver a competitive bid Key Role & Responsibility : Business Development & Sales - Improves Lindes brand visibility by conducting technology presentations for potential customers / participation in conferences/seminars -Sell plants requiring extensive technical expertise -Develops, plans and modifies the concepts for his/her area of expertise to meet customer needs -Researches, develops and recommends improvements while developing and delivering projects and shows how changes will lower costs or increase products -Implements the defined technical and commercial strategy in the sales cycle by interfacing with all departments in the contracting phase - Provides necessary inputs to technical disciplines and other stake holders in sales phase for accurate estimation of overall cost Stakeholder Management: -Plans, coordinates and supervise activities relating to major contracts -Collaborates with sales team to understand customer requirements, to promote the sales of company products and to provide sales support -Maintains contact with customers/PMCs for better understanding of their requirements and upcoming opportunities - Coordinates with involved entities (e.g. LEHQ, LEDD, HC, LENA etc.) for BD & Sales activities Data Management -Prepares sound, consistent data for bench marking and profitable tendering -Handles inquiries and provides information related to tendering and estimating. Additional Responsibility : Product portfolio : Small to Medium hydrogen plants, feasibility studies, small/medium aftersales projects, BDEP/FEED projects, Cryogenic hydrogen recovery units, small size project with EP scope approx. 25 mio USD etc. Size of the projects : Low to medium in size in terms of complexity and value Complexity of the projects : lower complexity with minimum risks No. of Proposals : Can manage 2-3 proposals at a time No.of customers : Shall be able to manage 3-4 customers at a time Process Design capability : Basic knowledge of process simulation and detailed process design for a natural gas based hydrogen plant Education qualification & Experience : B.E/B.Tech in Engineering Minimum 5+ years of experience with domain expertise in the sale engineering function,
