Job Description

    JOB DESCRIPTION:Prepare inventory documentation: this involves accurately recording type, quantity, quality, and other features of inventory for a clear understanding of the state of the stocksDocument stocks delivery and supervise their movement into operational processing or positionForecasting supply and demand to prevent overstocking and running out-of-stock (OOS).Submitting purchase & receiving details (vendors information, invoices and pricing) to internal databases.Placing orders to replenish branches as needed.Track shipments and address any delays to all branches.Oversee storage of products, particularly of fragile items.Coordinate and assist in regular inventory audits in all Branches.Liaise with warehouse staff and all branches to check products quality (status upon delivery and receiving details)Keep updated inventory records (including daily shipments)Ensure purchases do not exceed budget.Maintaining the liquid cash as per the requirement.Develop and implement improvements to existing operational procedures in order to maximize efficiency and cut operations costsRespond to sales inquiries and purchase orders; collect and analyse data to determine appropriate order quantities; process orders for shipmentReview operations schedules and production requirements to ensure timely order fulfilmentTrack rates of accuracy, purchase, and return as well as defective items to inform quality control decisionsPrepare, generate, and file financial inventory reports; review reports monthly with managementNurture positive relationships with suppliers and provide customer service as needed in the branches.Requirements:BSc in Logistics, Business Administration or relevant field A bachelors degree in logistics, business, management, or similar discipline. Sometimes, experience gives you an edge. You gain one working as an intern or supervisor on any similar positionExcellent communication skills: On a regular base, inventory control managers need to communicate with all branches, therefore they need to have great communication skills to be able to do so effectivelyEffective leadership skills: The manager needs strong leadership skills to carry out resolving conflicts, and keeping the people motivated enough to work effectivelyCritical thinking skills: He/she must be able to come up with revolutionary ideas for the companys growthOrganization skills: The inventory control manager must be able to organize his/her team, schedules, and inventories to ensure efficiency in work deliveryProblem solving skills: He/she must have the ability to anticipate problems and prepare to solving themHe/she should have an mind to innovation and changeBasic computer skills: The inventory manager must be able to work with basic computer applications like Microsoft officeHe/she should have excellent analytical skills to joggle several contending issues and come up with the best decisionsExcellent logistical skills to be able to track movement of supplies from the supplier to the warehouseAbility to work under pressure and still maintain ideal disposition towards work
