SW Configuration within FTT-Operational Cloud Services team?The Sr IS Analyst? SW Config is a senior level specialist role that leverages cross functionaltechnology teams to coordinate, plan, configure, and execute complex softwarerelease migrations utilizing standard Release Management tools in accordancewith established, compliant application specific, and Release Managementprocesses with minimal to zero impact.This role provides emergency and 24x7support on a rotational basis, resolvemoderately to highly complex migrations and issues, as needed. Aids junior staffin maintaining, monitoring, testing, building, modifying, installing,documenting, and/or assessing the efficiency, capacity, and/or compliance ofsystems, servers and processes. Solves routine problems to a variety ofprograms, systems, networks, and platforms while referring more complexproblems to higher levels. Provide guidance and training to entry-level supportmembers.Job Duties/ Responsibilities Service Delivery - Communicates globally cross functionally in business terms, not technology terms. Negotiates cross-functionally as necessary. Understands and anticipates barriers and proactively coordinates and/or collaborates with assigned resources and key stakeholders. Coordinates or delivers high-quality, rapid and relevant moderate to complex client service, education and/or consultation in support of issues, programs, and/or projects. Reviews project plans, systems, programs, and tools, and outlines timelines and procedures for modifications and or replacement projects designed by others. Analyzes transition plans and makes recommendations to increase efficiency, compatibility and improvement of workflow and quality of financial management across the organization. Facilitates implementation and assists in synthesizing of large amounts of data for consumption. Ensures delivery to standards established through internal and external partnerships. May train/mentor peers and less-experienced staff in best practices. May lead or participate in the development of contractual business terms and conditions, negotiation strategies and contract events. Issue Management - Manages moderate to complex issues, problems, changes and/or requests with high severity and/or impact individual level components or those which are enterprise-wide in nature. Identifies problem root cause and applies permanent fixes with minimal business and budget/financial impact, if any, while leveraging problem/change trends and/or instrumentation and correlates data into information that may be acted upon. Gathers information and facilitates the decision-making process of granting approval for changes to systems and with the appropriate teams, understands the potential impact of changes prior to approval. Coordinates responses to issue(s) and applies solution directly, if expedited remediation is required. Reporting and Documentation - Responsible for maintaining required database(s) and ensuring the integrity and/or validity of the data. Assists with classification and prioritization of issues. Assists in identifying the impact of issues (financial, operational or other). Detects possible issues and assigns them to appropriate stakeholders or management group for to conduct formal issue reviews. Establishes regular communication with IT management and the business regarding the status of problem actions and adherence to the issue management process. Provides accurate and timely communications of impact to the appropriate Business and Technology groups as well as to senior management. Participates in issue post resolution reviews. As requested, reviews audit responses for completeness. Analyzes and summarizes data. Performs/coordinates periodic and/or ad-hoc information gathering, trend analysis, variance analysis & report generation as requested. Ensures that standards for documentation are complete, accurate, and up-to-date. Reviews assigned documentation regularly and assesses, identifies and remedies gaps. Analysis & Recommendations - Manages FTT to the resolution and recovery of complex issues and/or requests. Analyzes more moderate to complex issues to identify remediation actions to be taken. Takes actions to resolve issues to the Business, escalating the process as necessary per established escalation policies. Acts as the point of contact and escalation for support groups and internal businesses during recovery of major issues or requests. Assesses impact and progress during major issues to ensure escalation is timely and appropriate. Detects possible issues or requests and assigns them to the appropriate stakeholders or management group for them to raise remediation reviews. Participates in issue/request post-resolution reviews. Analyzes performance, financial and trend data and provides management with recommendations and appropriate scenarios projecting savings, financial alternative solutions and/or increased efficiency from current/proposed procedures and systems. Project Management - Applies project management principles, skills, experience and best practices. Creates project proposals, design documents and extensive documentation. May lead or assist in complex enterprise-wide/global service provider selection process. Supports the creation and /or maintenance of business continuity or IT disaster recovery plans. What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful?Qualifications Bachelor / Master?s degree in Computer Science/IT Passionate, collaborative, results-oriented. Strong interpersonal / relationship management skills. Requires 5 - 8 years relevant experience in a professional environment. 4 - 6 years DEVOPS experience preferred.Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Must have hands-on experience with Windows/Unix/Linux/Solaris systems. Shell/Perl/Python scripting Subversion (SVN), Jenkins, Dimensions CM CI/CD implementation Security Certificate (SSL/TLS) configuration Knowledge of Build and Release activities. Knowledge of Software Configuration and Release Management process. Understanding of Ant and/or Maven build tools. Knowledge of JAVA, ServiceNow, STAT, JIRA, GIT/Stash, Chef/Puppet/Ansible, Docker, AZURE, Bamboo. Knowledge of Agile framework. DEVOPS Tools installation, upgrades, maintenance. Server environments (cloud, physical and/or virtual). Proficient knowledge of ITIL concepts and methodology; proficiency with project management concepts and tools. Ability to maintain a professional image. Excellent organizational skills. Strong attention to details. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to exercise independent judgment consistent with the work being completed and within the department?s guidelines. Ability to manage multiple activities in a fast-paced environment. Ability to collaborate effectively with local and remote individuals or teams across multiple time zones. Demonstrated ability to perform analysis and clearly articulate recommendations to senior technical staff and leaders for effective decision-making. Proficient communication and writing skills; able to adapt communication style to level and scope of communication, which may include FTI management, co-workers, customers and outside business associates. Demonstrated ability to negotiate to a successful conclusion.Problem Solving And Decision Making Solves routine problems of limited scope and complexity following established policies and procedures.
