About Business Line

Global Services Strategy group help drive State Street s strategy for competitive advantage. Creates and analyze critical data assets to support strategic decision/analysis for BU leaders, client facing staff, and strategy teams.

About Process

The purpose of the job is to develop and maintain key strategic data assets, analyze and produce strategy reports (periodic and ad-hoc), and act as a centralized collection and distribution point for industry business intelligence. Focus will be on the Asset Management and Asset Servicing industry at a global level.

The incumbent will be responsible to contribute towards Global Strategy accomplishing the above mentioned work mandates, at an individual contributors role. Following are the required credentials.

Skills & Knowledge

Qualification & Certifications

• A Graduate/Post Graduate degree (Business, Economics, Engineering)
• Certifications: CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) / CA - preferable, not mandatory.
• Any technical certification in Data Analytics and Visualization preferred.
• 7+ years of relevant work experience* in financial services - investment management or asset servicing or consulting background in a global set up (*equity research or client/product strategy or corporate strategy or competitive intelligence or similar).

Primary Skills (Must Have)

• Advance level research & analytical skills - qualitative and quantitative.
• Power user level skills / technical skills in Data Analytics and Visualization - PPT, Tableau, excel, SQL and other relevant tech skills are preferred.
• Well versed in applying research methodologies to produce strategy deliverables (clear understanding on competitive performance parameters).
• Good knowledge on asset management, asset servicing, financial services industry.
• Soft Skills: a seasoned professional, a thinker, eloquent and disciplined; effectively work in a globally diverse team set up.
• Experience using data source such as Morningstar, Bloomberg, Factiva
• Exposure to Big Data analytics & its tools and applications.
