Job Description

Senior Technology Manager- JavaRole :

  • Technology Manager and design lead Java J2EE , Kafka, Micro services & Oracle
Basic Purpose & Responsibilities :
  • Senior Technology Manager with Java, Oracle, and Micro services skills for trading / securities lending application development. Analyzes designs, develops and maintains software applications to support business units.
Must to have skills:
  • Java/J2EE, Micro services, KAFKA , REST, Test Driven Design,
  • Oracle SQL and Pl/SQL
  • Should be good at performance tuning, memory management and modular design and code
  • Good communication skills, inter personal and collaborative skills
  • Should be a Good team Player
  • Continuous integration and Continuous delivery
  • SVN/GIT, JUnit, Jenkins, Cucumber, Maven, Hudson, Clover, MQ
Nice to have:
  • No SQL experience, Kubernetes, Docker
  • Global experience will be a big plus
Responsibilities :Hands-on technology senior manager. Ideal candidate should have 14 years of experience Expected to spend 80% of the time on hands-on development, design and architecture and remaining 20% on guiding the team on technology and removing other team impediments Work shift : 12 pm IST to 9 pm IST / 11 AM IST to 8 PM IST Capital Markets Projects experience required Java full stack with end to end app design and implementation experience in SOA and Micro services Architecture. Interested in learning business domain and domain driven application Service Design; Guiding and assisting app project team with business service and component design and implementation Ensure clear and concise expression of design decisions to development, business teams, and senior IT management. Provides advanced technical expertise in analyzing, designing, estimating, and developing software applications to project schedule. Oversees systems design and implementation of most complex design components. Gets involved in evaluating new technologies Sets the standards for design and development Creates project plans and deliverables and monitors task deadlines. Oversees, maintains and supports existing software applications. Provides subject matter expertise in reviewing, analyzing, and resolving complex issues. Designs and executes end to end system tests of new installations and/or software prior to release to minimize failures and impact to business and end users. Responsible for resolution, communication, and escalation of critical technical issues. Prepares user and systems documentation as needed. Identifies and recommends Industry best practices. Serves as a mentor to junior staff.
  • Ability to lead a team of agile developers.
  • Worked in a complex deadline driven projects with minimal supervision. Ability to architect/design/develop with minimum requirements by effectively coordinating activities between business analysts, scrum leads, developers and managers.General Profile:
  • 14 Years of experience
  • Experienced, fully competent in own area
  • Shares own expertise with others; will co-ordinate activities of others/the team
  • Completes own role independently or with minimal supervision/guidance
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills. Experience writing, reviewing technology documents including user guides.
