Job Description

In this role you will lead, hire and develop multiple software development teams across the AB experience; from evaluation to discovery to core navigation to post purchase. As a Technical Lead for the AB Hyderabad site you ll strive for simplicity, and demonstrate significant creativity and high judgment. You ll be expected to:

  • Exert technical influence over multiple internal and external teams, increasing their productivity and effectiveness by sharing your deep knowledge and customer empathy.
  • Product visionary, that ensures the quality of architecture and design of systems across the team.
  • Functionally decompose complex problems into simple, straight-forward solutions.
  • Integrate core retail and AB specific technology in a way that allows us to innovate on behalf of business customers.
  • Possess expert knowledge in performance, scalability, enterprise system architecture, and engineering best practices.
  • Drive career development, helping all team members learn and grow. Attract, develop and retain high performers.
B2B customers have different needs than the traditional Amazon customer and thus we have to reinvent everything from how we display our selection, recommend products, and provide the right customer experience (i.e. admin and buyer tasks). Our vision is for Amazon to be the preferred platform and supplier for all professional, business, and institutional customer in the world. To deliver on that vision we are looking for leaders to create a buying experience that is distinctly built for businesses.,
  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline
  • 10+ years of relevant engineering experience
  • 8+ years people management experience
  • Deep knowledge of current software design and development methodologies, processes, best industry practices and techniques.
  • Experience developing long-term vision and strategy, and influencing leadership decisions.
  • Deep understanding of how their functional systems interface with and depend upon systems throughout the company.
  • Exceptional and effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage and influence organizations of both technical and non-technical members.
  • MBA or advanced degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
  • Mobile web and Android/iOS app development experience.
  • Machine learning experience.
  • Experience working in B2B
  • Familiarity with Ruby, Perl and SQL
