This is a professional hands- on IT position in which the incumbent is responsible for Oracle EBS for design, architect, develop and deploy development activities. The incumbent works closely with the Associate Director, to ensure core IT tasks are completed on schedule and with high quality for internally and externally facing applications ranging in complexity to support USP s priorities and mission.
Roles and Responsibilities
Lead technical design, development and implementation of several enhancements and modules of Oracle E Business Suite application
Performs analysis, design, development, testing, code review and provide post- production support activities for applications based upon the specific needs of USP
Responsible to create custom forms, reports, workflows, triggers, views, PL/SQL packages to integrate with Oracle E- Business Suite functionality
Responsible to create custom interfaces using module related APIs, web services to/from Oracle E- Business Suite where applicable
Perform technical analysis for the requirements gathered by business analysts and provide detailed technical document of the desired system changes
Collaborates with Manager to obtain necessary resources and provide expert technical solutions to support long- term technology strategy.
Facilitates problem solving and collaboration.
Nurtures and enforces best practices for development activities within assigned staff
Review and develop application customizations, extensions and modifications of existing systems to ensure inter- dependency of the functionality is not affected
Responsible to track, troubleshoot and repair the Oracle e- Business Suite R12 and other application problems.
Provide production support, enhancements and ongoing maintenance for custom programs that interface with third party vendors and other internal systems
Coordinate work efforts with the DBA team for application changes and system performance issues
Assist with testing Oracle E- Business suite application functionality for deployment of Family Pack upgrades to keep application release level current
Pursue innovative ways to improve the process of delivering solutions to Oracle E- Business users
Proactively work through service requests with Oracle support as needed.
Perform other related duties as assigned
Required Skills
Bachelor s degree in computer science or relevant field with minimum 9 years of professional EBS experience
3+ years proven expertise in Oracle E- Business Suite release 12.2.x or higher with emphasis on modules Financials, Supply Chain and Oracle e- Commerce platform
Must have ability to support customizations, develop process documents and share implementation plans and best practices advice during patching and upgrade cycles.
Experience with Web services, Alerts, PLLs, DFFs, module related APIs is a must
Extensive experience in Oracle database and development technologies such as Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, OAF/ADF framework, Application Express (ApEx), Workflow, BI Publisher and AME
Oracle Database 11g or higher with strong experience in SQL and PL/SQL.
Strong technical knowledge with database design architecture. Ability to design and implement tables, views, procedures, constraints and relationships
Solve complex issues using methodical troubleshooting based on expert knowledge of Oracle EBS applications functionality and technology
Ability to identify technical risks, present solutions to non- technical personnel and influence technical decisions.
Ability to interact successfully with all levels of the organization. Deals with conflicts, confrontations, and disagreements in a positive manner.
Exposure to SOA stack is a plus
