Education / professional qualificationsBachelor s degree /Diploma in an appropriate field from an accredited college/universityPrior Experience:The candidate must have 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role, preferably in a professional services organisation.Technical skills:Toolsets: Burp Suite, Nessus, Nmap, Kali OS, Splunk, Veracode; Preferred programming skills: Python, Perl, JavaScript, PHP; Certifications: OSCP, CEH, GPEN, Splunk certificationsBehavioural / team skills
  • Personal drive and positive work ethic to deliver results within tight deadlines and in demanding situations.
  • Flexibility to adapt to a variety of engagement types, working hours and work environments and locations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Roles and responsibilitiesProject and Team management exposure
  • Proven experience or working within the penetration testing industry
  • Proven ability to identify and assess complex information protection risks and controls.
  • Understanding of a wide range of information security and IT methodologies, principles, technologies and techniques.
  • Experience in and an understanding of the Cyber risks faced by clients within a specific industry and the impact to their business.
  • Experience in and understanding of cyber incident response techniques and practices.
  • Experience in SOAR, SOC and familiarity with tools used.
  • Experience with SAST and DAST tools.
  • Knowledge and experience of OWASP guidelines and methodologies.
  • Ability to independently provide technical updates to stakeholders and mentor team members.
  • Excellent technical report writing skills.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of hardening guidelines.
  • Show knowledge of security configuration of common systems.
  • A genuine interest and desire to work in the information security field.
