Job Description

  • The individual will be part of DTS, which stands for Data Transaction Services, Services provide registered external clients with secure FTP data exchange facilities over the Internet and over dedicated connections.
  • DTS interfaces with various processing systems within BAML and provides clients with a single interface for data exchange. DTS B2BI runs on the Gentran Integration Suite (GIS) which is developed by Sterling Commerce and recently acquired by IBM.
  • DTS Service Desk team supports the below tasks:
  • File Transmission issues on TP (Trading Partner) and BU (Business Unit) end
  • System Alerts
  • Configuration issues
  • Critical system issues
  • Password Reset
  • File Replay
  • Responsibilities
    • Monitoring and Production support for Critical Data Transaction platforms
    • Ensure platform availability (24X7) Data Transmissions are happening through GIS platform (A sterling commerce product)
    • Monitor the GIS application and to ensure the availability of the application
    • Analyze and resolve the transmission and protocol (FTP, FTPS, SFTP, AS2, VPN) issues
    • Trouble shoots tickets (Incidents) on transmission issues and need to monitor alerts related to transmission issues
    • Restart applications whenever necessary
    • Trouble shoot basic mainframe issues (some of the bank transmissions is to mainframe servers)
    • Resolve the transmission related production issues and act upon swiftly
    • RequirementsEducation: B.E. B. TechM.E. M. TechB.Sc.M.Sc.BCAMCA (prefer ITCS specialization)Certifications, If Any: Not MandatoryExperience Range: 2 - 4 yearsMandatory skills:
      • Experience in Unix and Mainframes
      • Knowledge in transmission protocols and networks
      • Communication skills
      • Service Desk experience
