Job Description

  • LDOM Zones Containers Skills Linux Solaris Administration Cluster Administrator Customer handling Clustering solution Exp 7 12 years
  • Should have strong knowledge on Linux Solaris Administration and Cluster Administration
  • should have 8 12 years of experience in handling Linux and should be having hands on experience in handling SUSE High Availability Environment Willing to work 24 7 Day to day pro active monitoring Capacity Planning OS installation and troubleshooting Patch installation and management High availability and DRS service functionalities
  • Must be able to determine when a server is in a distressed state e g network performing badly short of swap space short of RAM overloaded CPU overloaded I O subsystem Understand how to gather more information and recommend a solution Indepth knowledge of TCP IP BIND LDAP Logical volume manager networking Firewall rules Kick Start installation and other core technologies Knowledge of how to modify kernel and device driver behavior Awareness of VMware Experience of working on and managing complex technical systems and environments
  • Should have strong knowledge on SUSE Linux Administration and Cluster Administration
  • Excellent written and Verbal communication skills
  • Experience on SMG ITIL process and tools Incident Problem Change Knowledge on BMC Remedy ITSM or any ticketing tools Ability to work independently Scripting knowledge specifically with Perl and Korn shell 7 plus years of experience Installing Configuring and Managing Solaris Servers
  • 7 plus years of experience with Solaris system monitoring including reviewing system and application logs to troubleshoot and resolve software and hardware related problems
  • 7 plus years working knowledge of OS security best practices and experience with the Secure Technical Implementation Guide STIG process
  • 7 plus years of experience with Logical Domains LDOMS Containers Zones all variations of FS including ZFS vSwitches and other relevant Solaris technologies Familiarity with SAN storage concepts LUNs HBAs logical volume management and NFS Offshift work that includes evenings weekends and oncall support Proactively monitoring a Incident and Task Ticketing Queue Ability to Update Tickets with appropriate technical detail
