Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Develop ETL jobs using Talend Open Source for reporting and data transfer
  • Collaborate with onshore/offshore developers/business, analyze the requirement and translate them into business rules for data transformations
  • Perform data analysis, data validation and cleansing activities.
  • Develop, maintain and optimize T-SQL and MySQL code
  • Master the model, structure, contents and embedded relationships for MySQL and SQL Server Databases
  • Develop and maintain reports using Jasper Studio Designer.
  • Perform performance tuning, code optimization, and performance review.
  • Write ad-hoc queries to support the business needs
  • Use Linux desktop for daily programming and troubleshooting activities
  • Monitor and resolve SQL and Talend performance issues
  • Work on backup recovery procedures

Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of professional experience in software development
  • ETL knowledge and experience through scripting or tool
  • Talend Data Integration practical experience or demonstrated equivalent skill
  • iReport and JasperStudio practical experience or demonstrated equivalent skill
  • Working knowledge of both Windows and Linux (Ubuntu/Redhat)
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, a necessity
  • Comfortable with both GUI and CLI environment
  • Experience using MySQL, SQLite and Microsoft SQL Server database or equivalent RDBMS
  • Master data formats like CSV, Excel, XML, JSON
  • SQL Server Transact/SQL or MySQL stored procedures and functions or equivalent Server-side SQL scripting
  • Shell, Bash, VBS, DOS scripting experience is a plus
  • Programing language experience is a plus, Java preferably
  • Geneva RSL, a plus
