Job Description

  • To review all TACC Operations through process and data analysis in order to ensure that appropriate internal controls are in place. This may include reconciling, analysis and reporting. To resolve non-routine problems in a timely manner in order to minimize financial and operational risk exposure. To support TACC projects and initiatives, providing leadership and expertise in all key functions related to Treasury Accounting Cash & Control.
  • May assist with the planning and administration of the daily work assigned to staff in order to ensure it is completed in accordance with departmental guidelines.
What are the ongoing responsibilities of theSenior Treasury Analyst Core Responsibilities:
  • Monitor daily and monthly reporting requirements to ensure department deliverables are met.
  • Support analysts in the resolution of cash and/or security breaks in a timely manner though use of effective communication skills.
  • Prepare applicable reporting to internal and external entities.
  • Propose procedure revisions as weaknesses and inefficiencies are identified.
  • Assists supervisor in staff and workflow planning to ensure proper coverage of daily work within a specified line group.
  • Actively play a key role in project and process implementation, i.e. requirements gathering, gap analysis, roll out process/procedures, training, etc.
Problem solving, decision-making and analytical skills
  • Analyze, identify and report trends in a timely manner. Recommend ways to minimize the reoccurrence of any exceptions noted.
  • Guide team in resolving non-routine problems and escalate supervisor and/or manager. Ensure timely resolution of these issues considering impact to other areas and sites.
  • Test and recommend process or product changes to maximize system efficiencies or enhancements and ensure that appropriate internal controls are in place.
Other Responsibilities :
  • Assist in compilation of management reporting such as the MOR, performance metrics and ad hoc reporting.
  • Complete tracking for own IPP
  • Offer suggestions for improvement to department workflows.
  • Attend, participate in and provide feedback for department meetings
  • Work on special projects as assigned
  • Assist with maintaining up-to-date department procedures
,What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful
  • Bachelor s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Accounting or Finance preferred.
  • 3-5 years of accounting experience in automated environment.
  • Other education/training (could be part of degree program) advantageous in:
  • Financial Accounting
  • Teamwork, communication
  • On the job coaching
  • Personal computer applications (Microsoft Office)
  • Project Management
