Job Description

The Team :

The resource would be a part of the Market Data - Marketing Systems technology team. He/She would be a part of the existing team supporting Platts Excel Add-in and API, which are external facing. Working very closely with the Product owner, this team is responsible to make major and minor enhancements

The Impact :

This position directly interacts with the business team to understand their requirements and the benefit to the business customers. The role provides exposure to the business and functional model of the company. The applications being worked on are highly business centric and revenue generating.

  • The candidate must follow best practices for software development and has experience building reusable and maintainable application code for future projects.
  • Solid experience developing custom .NET solutions using MS Excel as the front end as well as importing and extracting data from Excel.
  • Provide contribution to a team responsible for design, development and implementation of critical business applications using .NET technologies.
  • Must have the ability to translate requirements to fully functional software and perform unit tests on the developed applications.
  • Assist in collecting and documenting customer requirements and translate them to a technical design.
  • Assist the quality assurance team in preparation of test plans.
  • Prior experience working with AWS cloud applications is a plus

What we are looking for :

Basic Qualifications :

  • Previous experience in software development, computer engineering, or other related fields.
  • Knowledge of C#, VBA, or other programming languages.
  • Ability to work well in team environment following Agile software development principles.
  • Strong interpersonal and written communications skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully multi-task.
  • High energy and a self-starter.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office based applications.
