The Devices Supply Chain supports getting products like Xbox, Surface, HoloLens into the hands of retail or enterprise customers. The Cloud Supply Chain supports getting server capacity in our Azure Datacenters.Supply Chain is key to winning in the Devices and Cloud business because it helps us with faster time to market, increasing profitability and improving our customer experience. We build our engineering tools and platform for HW engineers, Planners, Sourcing Managers, Factory Operations, Logistics and Warehouse Operations, Customer Support, Datacenter Ops, Microsoft Retail Stores - all of these are involved in the whole lifecycle from designing a product to ensuring we can build them at scale and deliver them to our customers. We partner with suppliers, manufacturers, logistics providers and retailers in order to make and sell Microsoft products and services.Our technology stack is a mix of 3rd party (SAP, Ariba, Aras) and homegrown services.We are looking for energetic Service engineers who are passionate about building, configuring, optimizing and monitoring enterprise scale services built using cloud technologies, System telemetry and automation. You will be managing complex services platform for a large ecosystem of modern micro services. You will be leveraging Microsoft and open-source technologies, and Azure cloud computing platforms and services. This role also provides exciting opportunity of building solutions to automate platform setup, automated optimization as per need/capacity trends and building self-heal solutions.Roles/Responsibilities

• Design and Define the health model for business services engineered using micro services ecosystem.
• Instrument the code for System Telemetry using Application Insights SDK
• Collaborates with Engineering and PM counterparts to translate technical requirements into monitoring components of a service architecture, and operability into our monitoring platform.
• Expertise with Windows Clustering and Hyper-V design, deployment and troubleshooting
• Build and Manage OS Deployments , Automation of Patching using update management,
• Expertise in large scale infra services management and automated deployments of Antimalware , Inventory management for Factory Infrastructure and Azure infra services.
• Configure and Manage Azure monitor services, automate regular maintenance activities.
• Develops custom code in Azure Automation and Azure functions for auto healing
• Leverage PowerShell and other means to quickly automate processes to resolve issues experienced by customers.
• Design, write and deliver software to improve the availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency of Azure Storage.
• Understanding of Azure Management API
• Write Kusto/OMS queries to create alerts
• Configuring OMS solutions for Security , Service Fabric , Usage etc.
• Create Power BI/OMS Dashboards for Business and System Alerts
• Cost Optimization of our Cloud Monitoring Tools
• Review and influence ongoing design, architecture, standards and methods for operating services and systems; assess design and code changes to drive improvements
• Accountable for the rapid identification and recovery from service impacting outages and incidents.
• Identifies and coordinates technical personnel through phases of triage, diagnosis, mitigation, and repair planning.
• Assesses severity and provides mitigation strategies to restore services.
• Contribute in debugging, troubleshooting complete stack of a service; drive analysis of a service outage to recommend solutions to solve problems permanently

Builds scripting solutions to automate platform setup,

• A BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of Service engineering experience
• At least 2 years of previous experience working in a 24x7x365 production environment supporting critical real-time applications.
• Deep expertise in cluster management
• Deep domain expertise in cloud application development solutions (e.g. PaaS, Serverless, API Management)
• Good indepth knowledge in Azure Monitor
• Good scripting/automation skills
