The Site OPEX Lead is a key contributor in driving site wide Operational Excellence (OPEX) and Continuous Improvement (CI) programs. The incumbent will work closely with the site leadership team to support the OPEX project portfolio for site. The role will require close collaboration with cross functional teams internally and with external agencies as well.YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:1) Lead the Instrument lifecycle management (iLCM) team for Analytical R&D team and oversee maintenance of infrastructure/equipment and required investments.2) Lead the Sample lifecycle management (sLCM) team for Analytical R&D team and oversee the complete sample and stability management for the function.3) Oversee and optimize all external engagements in iLCM and sLCM area with our vendor partners.4) Identify opportunities to design and deploy solutions for increasing site productivity, CI programs and lead site OPEX projects.5) Identify opportunities to design and deploy CI programs for site.6) Work in collaboration with site and global strategy teams to deploy productivity initiatives for siteMinimum requirements WHAT YOU LL BRING TO THE ROLE:1. Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry, minimum of 5 years in a strategic leadership or people management position2. Proven track record of successfully managing external and internal interfaces3. In-depth knowledge of relevant engineering or pharmaceutical operations4. Is an effective people manager, leader and communicator: successfully manages and devel-ops people according to the needs of site5. Manages resource allocation and capacity ade-quately to ensure timelines and key milestones are met.6. Ensures good communication and problem solving in the team and across organizational boundaries and geographies7. Exceptionally broad knowledge in pharmaceutical development processes, quality and regulatory re-quirements with focus on Phase III / Registration / Life cycle management projectsWhy consider Novartis 799 million.
