Job Description

  • Manage, assess, plan, and support core monitoring platform
  • Responsible for any changes in process (or) implementations related to monitoring platform
  • Provide escalation support for monitoring configuration and platform issues
  • Develop automation for the support of monitoring tools and enable customer self-service through APIs and other integrations
  • Collaborate with the key stakeholders (Service Managers, Product Managers, Application Architects, Business Support, and Operations) to gather and develop requirements
  • Work with Monitoring tool vendors to address any platform related enhancements to address business needs
  • Support and manage the introduction of new monitoring tools and orchestrate the migration to new tools as aging software is retired
  • Present reports on monitoring event metrics, correlation metrics to the Enterprise Operations team on a periodical basis
  • Present and communicate complex ideas and features to a broad audience effectively
  • Passion describing technical vision and strategy of monitoring platform to varying audiences
Required Skills
  • Substantial experience designing and implementing complex application and systems solutions
  • Demonstrable ability in Bash, Python, and JavaScript (NodeJS); especially program comprehension
  • Demonstrated understanding of REST-based API design principles and best practices
  • Expert using GitHub and Jenkins technologies
  • Demonstrated strength in troubleshooting/debug skills (reading log files, analyzing memory dumps)
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to gather and synthesize data for review.
  • Experience writing technical documentation
  • Experience in dynamic situations and able to shift gears comfortably and effectively
  • Ability to problem-solve in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written communication skills and ability to communicate highly technical information effectively
