Someone who loves to fix the problem once and make the solution repeatable through automation. Wants to be the first one to knowwhen there are issues. This is an exciting opportunity to work at a startup with some leading edge technology like MongoDB, ElasticSearch, GCP and Kubernetes. This SiteOps position is a role focusing on monitoring as well as providing 24x7 level 1 support for our production website as well providing ticketing support for our global engineering team.This is for someone who likes to do programming and has a passion for developing monitoring so that we are alerted to a problem before the customer or the engineering teams sees it. There is a lot of collaborative working in the engineering team and plenty of opportunity to grow.RequirementsExperience with creating an extensive set of monitoring and alertsProficiency in writing scripts in Python or BashExperience doing linux systems administrationAn understanding of how to maintain security in a cloud environmentMindset of documenting as you goSiteOps experience support a 24x7 production websiteExperience with KubernetesPrevious work experience of 3 - 5 years in a similar roleDesired SkillsMindset of using automated detection to increase productivity and settingup monitoring so the same problem does not re-occur undetectedSiteOps experience maintaining a production websiteExperience with Google Cloud Platform and Google Kubernetes EngineExperience with Git version controlExperience with creating content for knowledge basesExperience administering MongoDB, Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ, Redis andPostgres.Experience with New Relic, and helm a plus!More on Reputation.com .The majority of consumers 90% say online reviews influence their purchasing decisions.
