Job Description

Are you ready to lead in this new era of technology and solve some of the worlds most challenging problems If so, lets talk.Your Role and ResponsibilitiesAs a Solar-Winds Administrator you will support the implementation, maintenance and operations of SolarWinds and its supporting infrastructure, integrating with other systems, and developing and supporting automation. This Position will require integration with existing teams for implementation as well as assisting team members with day-to-day use of the tool and tool optimization.Responsibilities:

  • Subject Matter Expert on SolarWinds NPM, SAM, and NCM and growing and maintaining the SolarWinds application infrastructure
  • Provide Design and Architecture expertise in terms of SolarWinds infrastructure requirements and software configurations
  • Deploy and configure SolarWinds to meet client specifications
  • Work with the Network/Systems/Applications teams and SolarWinds Support to troubleshoot and understand system faults and application performance issues
  • Develop, support and manage complex Alerts, Reports, and Views
  • Ability to understand and customize SQL queries and stored procedures
  • Gain deep visibility into the physical and virtual environments that are hosting applications in multiple data centers
  • Ability to troubleshoot to effectively solve problems, using knowledge, experience, logic, and independent judgment consistent with standards, practices, policies and procedures
  • Document issues, resolutions and maintain current documentation
  • Mentoring and Knowledge Transfer to clients
  • Testing, Identifying, and Correcting defects
  • Advanced experience with SolarWinds and application monitoring software.
  • Senior Network Engineering and/or Analyst experience
  • Expert Network and System documentation and mapping experience, using Visio
  • Knowledge of network protocols and routing, network, server, and host operating systems
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • 5 years technical experience with SolarWinds
  • Experience in configuring, operating and/or troubleshooting SolarWinds.
  • Ability to communicate (both orally and written) effectively to various audiences.
  • Experience performing Enterprise Systems Monitoring (ESM).
  • Excellent teamwork skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft, UNIX, and Linux server OS.
  • Good knowledge of Active Directory, GPOs, DNS and other Windows core services.
