If you have this type of passion, we invite you to take a look at the opportunities available to come join our team.Senior Member Technical Staff (SMTS), Software System Design EngineeringTHE ROLE:As a Senior Member of Technical Staff within the software validation organization of Radeon Technologies Group (RTG), you will be responsible for contributing to the development, implementation and maintenance of a comprehensive organizational test strategy for AMD RTG Software Products. The successful candidate will work cross-functionally and across regional geographies with software, hardware, project management, release management, and customer teams in order to drive and realize key initiatives. .THE PERSON:This person should possess strong technical acumen and relevant industry experience in order to provide technical leadership to the test organization by: developing test system architecture, aligning the software validations pipeline, overseeing test data quality, performing test data analysis, reviewing product/feature design and implementation details with a focus on quality/testability.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Must Possess Experience:
  • 10+ years of relevant industry experience
  • Strong Written, Verbal and Communication Skills
  • Demonstrated solid understanding of modern computer architecture, real time systems, device drivers, and firmware
  • Knowledge of computer graphics technologies (Codecs, DirectX, OpenGL, Compute, DRM, VR, Security, etc.)
  • Knowledge of modeling and test development strategies
  • Knowledge of relevant standards (documentation, processes, terminology): ISO 25000, ISO 29119, CMMI/TMMI, ISTQB, etc.,
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and strong ability to build and maintain relationships
  • Critical Thinking and Problem Solving skills
  • Excellent hands-on debug skills
  • Proficiency in scripting and programming languages, specifically: C/C++, Python, Linux Shell Scripts
  • Experience in developing software under Windows and Linux environments
  • Experience in developing test strategies, test plans, and test cases
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
  • Some database experience (SQL query, ETL pipeline)
  • Experience with REST API and extensible data formats (Json, XML)
  • Familiarity with ML frameworks, model training and tuning
  • Other programming/scripting languages (Ruby, C#, or others)
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
  • BS or MS in EE/CE/CSBS or related field
  • Preferably should have Technical Patents/Articles/Publications or representations in industry forum
