Job Description

What you ll be doing :

  • Serving as a Key Architect for Verizon Business Group organization in Verizon India to drive programs in partnership with the teams in the US.
  • Driving programs aligning to the North Star vision of VBG
  • Collaborating and influencing various stakeholders in the US and India teams.
  • Providing technical design and architectural leadership and engages across lines of business to ensure technical fit with respect to business needs.
  • Driving comparative analysis among various process/ practices/ products and drive POC to arrive at decisions.
  • Institute governance based on industry best practices; review current environment to detect technical and operational opportunities and recommend solutions for improvement.
  • Providing technical leadership, guidance, and support in the deployment of complex applications in globally distributed computing environments.
  • Partnering in identification and analysis of enterprise business drivers and requirements that drive the future state architecture.
  • Facilitating the governance and use of enterprise architecture principles, guidance and reference architectures.
  • Defining the standards and directional Tech Stack and drive their evolution by introducing emerging technologies after successful proof-of-concepts, working closely with the development teams and providing hands-on support.
  • Collaborating with architects across the enterprise to identify strategic opportunities and in the rationalization of cross segment dependencies.

Youll need to have:

  • Bachelor s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Knowledge on Telecom domain, products, understanding the network components, topologies, devices etc
  • Knowledge on the OSS/ BSS
  • Experience working on network products, good knowledge on the products specific to LOBs.
  • Working knowledge in emerging technology AI/ML, Chabot, cloud.
  • Knowledge and learning in SDLC practices and methodologies Agile, Safe Agile and others.
  • Knowledge about Technology industry and market trends to determine potential impact on the infrastructure architecture

Even better if you have:

  • Masters degree.
  • Ability to interact and provide executive level communications to VPs, SVPs and CIOs.
  • Strong relationship skills and collaborative style to enable success across multiple partners.
  • Ability to drive discussions and architectural decisions with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to assess and build next level architects in Verizon India to ensure there are enough domain expertise in the organization.
  • Ability to review and recommend tools to improve the delivery process with focus on time delivery with quality.
