Job Description

    Job descriptionRoles and ResponsibilitiesRole and Responsibilities:The responsibilities of the Snowflake Data Architect will include but not restricted to:Define data strategy for an initiative involving Snowflake as core solution areaAnalyse business data and develop conceptual, logical and physical data model primarily towards building a snowflake data warehouse solutionWork closely with data governance experts to help cater to defining of data lifecycle management policiesImplement strategized business goals through propriety tools following industry trends and best practicesMust Have RequirementsAt least 6 years of professional experience with exposure to platforms and applications in a technology development capabilityAt least 2 years of involvement to strategic initiatives preferably on data lifecycle managementStrong understanding of business process mapping, data profiling and data analysis in generalExperience in designing and implementing data warehouse solutionsAt least 1 year exposure in Snowflake based solutionsWorking knowledge of SnowSQL and ability to apply the same in real life scenariosClear understanding of Snowflakes advanced concepts like virtual warehouses, query performance using micro partitions and pruning, zero copy clone, resource monitors and security control methodsExperience in common RDBMS such as Microsoft SQL, Oracle, MySql, Postgresql etc.Experience with any NoSQL Db like MongoDB, DynamoDB, CosmosDB etc.Exposure to frameworks such as DevOps and DataOpsStrong communication ability to interact with both business stakeholders and technical teams, speaking the right language to each and communicating at the appropriate level of detailInvolvement in technical capacity in at least one transformation initiative involving a cloud platformConcepts of ETL and working knowledge of pythonStrong data modeling experience including but not limited too strong concepts with respect to conceptual, logical and physical data modeling for one or more relational databases and snowflakeo Strong concepts of dimensional modeling for Data Warehouse systems.o working knowledge of Erwin and/or any other data modeling tool like sql developer data modeler etc.o strong domain knowledge in at least one industry domains like insurance, banking, finance, utilities, healthcare etc.o Should have strong data analysis skillsNice to have, Preferred Experience:Exposure to data and storage services of at least one cloud platform like AWS , Azure, GCP etc. (Redshift, Azure SQL DW etc.)Strong development experience in ETL tools Informatica Power Center, Data Stage etc.
