Requirements: 4- 8 years of previous work experience B.E/ B.Tech/ M.E/ M.Tech/ MCA - Computer science / Information Technology with excellent academic record Responsibilities: Provision PostgreSQL instances, both clusters, and non- clusters configurations. Ensure performance, security(user level and DB level) and availability of databases. Prepare documentation. Handle common database procedures, such as upgrade, backup, recovery, migration, etc. Profile server resource usage, optimize and tweak as necessary. Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders. TableSpace management Partitioning of Tables Skills: Strong knowledge in PostgreSQL database administration. Must be well versed in PL/ SQL & PostgreSQL to interact with stored data Optimize queries, business logic, process, etc to improve efficiency and accuracy of the programs Good knowledge on database backup and recovery. Connectivity and security. Good knowledge on replication processes.(Logical/ Streaming). Strong knowledge in database performance analysis and tuning Handle common database procedures, such as upgrade, backup, recovery, migration, etc. Hands on experience in database upgrade and patch process. Hands on experience in application query tuning. Good knowledge in Linux administration is desirable. Experience in scripting like Shell is desirable. Hands on experience of TableSpace management and Partitioning of tables. DB Hardware sizing. Database clustering, High Availability. Knowledge of disaster recovery principles and practices, including planning, testing, backup/ restore. Basic Knowledge on third party tools and PostgreSQL extensions.
