Job Description

  • Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.
  • As a member of the software engineering division, you will apply basic to intermediate knowledge of software architecture to perform software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications or operating systems according to provided design specifications.
  • Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and occasionally suggest improvements to the architecture.
  • Duties and tasks are standard with some variation; displays understanding of roles, processes and procedures.
  • Performs moderately complex problem solving with assistance and guidance in understanding and applying company policies and processes.
  • BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area.

, About the product team:
  • Food & Beverage Global Business Unit (FBGBU) is a hospitality domain developing Point Of Sales (POS) products.
  • These products support a lot of different hardware systems like POS workstations, printers, hand held devices etc., and the software products like reporting, inventory systems etc.
  • Products we develop and support need to be mandatorily tested on these devices.
  • The functionalities of the software developed by Oracle FBGBU need to be tested thoroughly before they release to the customers.
Responsibilities:
  • Design, Develop, Troubleshoot and Debug software programs for assigned functional areas of hospitality product suite
  • Tasks include preparing design documentation, coding, unit testing, debugging, integration, performance tuning and maintenance of assigned software modules
  • Acts as an individual contributor as well as team member
  • Usually works with little supervision, conferring with superiors on unusual or extremely complex matters. Assignments are broad in nature, usually requiring originality and ingenuity.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • 2 to 6 years of experience in software product development using at least one of the Java script frameworks (React / Angular/ Knockout / OJET).
  • Experience in HTML5, CSS, JSON, XML, Web Services, REST, Multi-Threaded applications.
  • Familiarity with cross browser UI applications is must.
  • Completion of minimum of one full life cycle development projects.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and interact with user representatives and peers in design and feedback sessions
  • Development tools like GIT, Unit testing tools, code coverage tools is desired.
  • Having Java/J2EE experience and cloud experience would be a big plus.
