As a director of the software engineering division, you will apply your extensive knowledge of software architecture to manage software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications, operating systems and databases according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and envision future improvements to the architecture.Assists in the development of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives. Regularly interacts across functional areas with senior management or executives to ensure unit objectives are met. Ability to influence thinking or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills. Strong communication skills, analytical skills, thorough understanding of product development. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience., As a member of ERP Product Development organization, you ll work in a multidisciplinary team to develop and deliver leading edge SaaS solutions for the global marketplace. You ll be working on our next generation cloud-native platform .Our Development approach is based on a DevOps-centric mindset, combining software development with operations expertise to shorten the development life cycle while delivering features, fixes, and updates frequently, in close alignment with business objectives.We employ Agile methodologies, lean development practices, design thinking and we encourage and foster an open, collaborative workplace. YOU ARE SETTING STANDARDSAs a Director, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of developers assigned to one or more functional or non-functional domains comprising our next generation cloud native ERP solution.Your responsibilities will entail day-to-day developer oversight, training, work assignment, adoption and adherence to methods and practices, adoption and adherence to standard coding patterns, timely delivery and code quality. The Developers you oversee are responsible for design, develop, deliver, operate and support functions.In this capacity you exhibit the following qualities: Self-Starter. 1. Experience managing teams of 5 or more
2. Extensive coding experience in plsql, Core Java, JSON, JAX-RS
3. Hands-on experience with REST, HTTP, Microservices, Eventing frameworks
4. An understanding of: OAuth2.0, JWT, JPA, ORM (Eclipse link)
5. Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka
6. Strong exposure to Cloud concepts (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS) with Oracle Cloud, AWS, or Azure, any certification(s) a plus
7. Strong problem solving skills
8. Proven design skills and expertise
9. Fluent with IDE and Java build tools such as GIT, Eclipse, Netbeans, Maven, Jenkins and Modeling Tools of UML
10. Experience in working with Oracle Database Tools and administration.
11. Experience on JUnit, and JMockit tools
12. Experience on REST testing tools like Postman, JMeter, Curl.
13. Experience in the ERP domain
14. Excellent writing and oral communications skills (in English)

• Natural collaborator who enjoys working in cross organizational teams residing in multiple time zones.

Secondary Skillsa. Practiced Agile Development and knowledge of Tools such as Confluence/JIRA b. Experience in using Redis, ELK and other open source Tools c. Experience in tools such as RestAssured, Selenium d. Financial services protocols such as IFX etc e. Exposure to SonarQube, Fortify and WebInspect Toolsf. Experience in Web servicesg. Good knowledge of current / emerging technologies and trends h. Good team player willing and able to mentor juniors
