Job Description

*Manage a team that designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.As a manager of the software engineering division, you will apply your knowledge of software architecture to manage software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications, operating systems and databases according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and occasionally suggest improvements to the architecture.Leads a specialized area which may have diverse functional elements. Frequently interacts with supervisors and/or functional peer group managers. May interact with senior management. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills. Strong communication skills, analytical skills, thorough understanding of product development. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. Typically one year of software engineering or related experience., As a member of Oracle s Construction & Engineering GBU product development organization, you will lead a team of engineers that designs, develops and delivers features on Primavera Unifier team. Primavera Unifier The best-in-class project lifecycle management solution for capital planning, project delivery, cost control, and facilities and real estate management. Detailed Description and Job Requirements: As a member of the Software development Organization, the team under your leadership performs tasks associated with designing, developing, troubleshooting and deploying business critical applications. It constantly seeks improvements to the current Architecture/Process/Tools. An ideal candidate is a hands on engineering leader with a strong sense of ownership and passion for delivering creative solutions to complex technical problems. To succeed in this role, the candidate should have deep knowledge of software architecture, design, development in an enterprise environment. S/he should have excellent problem solving skills, great attitude, and drive to learn and improve. The candidate should have 10-12 years of experience in building large scale web applications and leading a team of ambitious engineers. The responsibilities include:

  • Provide technical leadership and drive complex projects in a Global Delivery environment
  • Build new features or enhance the capabilities of our system
  • Contribute actively with Coding, Code reviews, testing and integrating the team s work
  • Build and nurture relationships with multiple local and remote business and technical teams
  • Mentor, Motivate and Develop teams Identify gaps in technical/leadership skills and coach them
  • Research new tools, frameworks, processes and recommend for adoption
Qualifications :
  • A Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent
  • 12 to 15 Years of experience in building/managing enterprise systems with at least 3-5 years of technical project delivery/management experience
  • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast paced environment
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn new tools/languages is a big plus.
Technical Skills: Comfortable with more than one programming language and have a firm grasp of fundamentals of web/internet technologies.
  • Deep technical skills in building enterprise applications using Java/J2EE, Spring, JQuery, Node.js, Java Script, CSS3, HTML5, REST. Candidate with OJET experience is preferable.
  • Build and Deploy applications using Java/J2EE & WL stack
  • Solid understanding of SQL, and ORM tools
  • Experience in working with modern development tools like Jenkins, Docker, CVS
  • Comfortable with developing/deploying applications in Linux/Unix environment
  • Hands on experience with agile development methodology
  • People management Goal setting, People development, Mentoring and coaching
Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May need to mentor lower level personnel.
