Careers that Change LivesThe Software Engineer- II, Platform Software will be a member of the Medtronic R&D engineering, Hyderabad team working on the development and support of Medtronic next generation minimally invasive platform.A Day in the Life Design and develop key technical components to ensure the systems architecture and system meets all of the performance and scalability requirements for that component.Good understanding of windows services, web services, thin client applications, and the Microsoft platforms to design and implement component that will flow information across all platforms.Good knowledge of communication protocols and networks to design an architecture that works seamlessly across a variety of communication models and methods.Must be a team player. Must have qualities including being positive, high standards, resilient, open, and creative.Takes pride in quality, extensible, and maintainable work products. Demonstrates excellent coding practices.Commitment to achieving and exceeding project goals and timelines.Thrives in working with other disciplines to develop system-minded implementations that take into account safety, performance, communication, user interface and other aspects of a final product. Must Have Minimum Qualifications

  • B.E or B.Tech in Computer Sciences, Electronics or Electrical Engineer.
  • 4+ years in the design and development of software applications in Microsoft .Net technologies.
  • Sound Understanding of the .Net Framework and hands on architecture, design and coding
  • Having strong work experience in windows application development using WPF,Prism.Etc.
  • Good knowledge of C #, WPF, MVVM, Prism, .NET 4.6, .Net Core, WCF and Angular
  • Knowledgeable and experienced in HTML 5, Json, and jQuery (Jscript UI Framework experience such as knockout or Angular is a plus)
  • Knowledgeable and experienced in Microsoft MVC 3.0 or higher (experience in MVVM is a plus)
  • Knowledgeable and experienced in SOAP and REST Web Service Development
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, and organizational skills
  • Participate in System design, coordination with teams and internal product management
  • Experience in medical device SW development is added advantage
  • Ability to define, develop and implement automated unit / integration test solutions
  • Experience with change control, requirements management, source code control
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent time management and professionalism
  • Perform Code Reviews, Static Code Analysis , Dynamic Code Analysis
  • Generate Software Metrics for Unit Testing, Integration Testing
  • Works collaboratively with software engineers, and SW QA.
Nice to Haves M.S or M.Tech with 2+ years of experience in software design and development is preferred.Experience in real-time applications is preferred.Medical instrument development experiences a plus.Appreciation of discipline and work required to develop software in a regulated industryFamiliarity with FDA Quality System Regulations (820.30 design controls), European Regulatory Requirements (ISO 13485), and specifically IEC62304 is preferred.Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of standards and guidance s relevant to the medical device industryAbout Medtronic Together, we can change healthcare worldwide.
