Job Description

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • FactSet Digital Solutions Group, a subsidiary of FactSet Research Systems Inc. is looking for a talented Software Engineer who will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, various Wealth Management solutions.
  • This candidate must be able to troubleshoot issues and work with the appropriate teams to resolve them according to SLAs.
  • Must have through knowledge of Software Engineering principles and best practices.
  • This individual must also possess a high degree of creativity and a strong talent for problem-solving to conquer complex technical obstacles

Key responsibilities for this accomplished developer will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of data structures and algorithms, object-oriented programming, and software engineering principles.
  • Develop and support various applications using C#.NET, MS-SQLServer, IIS and and JavaScript components.
  • Ensuring that deployed products are properly maintained throughout their lifecycle.
  • Using reliable build and deployment procedures for products in a production environment spanning a large number of servers of multiple co-location facilities.
  • This position requires to participate in 24/7 on-call support on a rotation basis with the team.
  • Should be quick leaner and open to learn new things.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor s Degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field.
  • 3 to 5 yrs. related work experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and a clear understanding of Software Engineering patterns and practices.
  • Experience with Object Oriented Analysis and Design.
  • Strong C# skills is a must.
  • Experienced in Java Script, HTML5 and Microsoft SQl Server and IIS is a huge plus.
  • Experienced in modern architectural patterns such as MVVM is a plus
  • Strong understanding of web technologies is a plus
  • Basic operational knowledge of Windows operating systems
  • Proven desire to learn and contribute to the successful completion of team goals and projects.
  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Able to work well as an individual contributor and within a team.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Market data and other financial industry is a plus.
  • Experience with multithreaded, caching and high availability software development is a plus.
  • Working experience with Node.js, REACT and other similar frameworks is a big plus.
