Job Description

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Plan, manage and execute critical technology initiatives including new development, system enhancements and re-engineering projects
  • Drive effective alignment of technology to support business and IT strategies, this includes use of Jave/J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, Adobe Experience Manager, Angular, React Framework, Cloud and Service Layer architecture
  • Driving innovation and creative solutions to business and technical challenges on an ongoing basis
  • Providing leadership and direction to application and business development teams
  • Installation and delivery of application software using an Agile development life cycle
  • Participating in the creation of technology road maps
  • Provide application owner accountability for the Medicare and Retirement portal over-all
  • Continue the advancement of leveraging Agile Processes, Acceptance Test Driven
  • Development and Continuous Integration and Deployment
  • Creation and management of staffing plans and associated budgets
  • Building collaborative relationships with business partners and IT
  • Strategic organizational planning and resource capacity planning for the Medicare and Retirement Portals
  • Delivering solutions to meet the business agenda (on Scope, Schedule, Cost, Benefit and Quality)
  • Good to have knowledge of Agile/Scrum
  • Ensure availability over weekends/holidays as may be needed due to project requirements
  • Achieve harmonious working relationships with business partners and within team
  • Ensure compliance with organization and project defined standards and processes
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor s Degree from recognized University
  • 15-18+ years of over-all IT experience
  • 10+ years of experience leading the execution of portal development initiatives with strong UI focused experience
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in Java/J2EE and related technologies such as Spring, Spring Boot/Spring WebFlux, Spring Security, Spring MVC and RESTful web services, micro services, Hibernate, AEM and Angular
  • 3+ years of experience and leading teams in agile methodology transformation
  • 10+ years of experience leading and managing a team of software development professionals
  • Technology leader who can drive tech agenda of MnR portals to highest levels which includes cloud migration, providing technical & design directions and able to play tech architect kind of role instead of just a Delivery Leader role
  • Well-honed communication skills, evidenced by successful senior level interactions and presentation experiences
  • Working experience of production support and good knowledge on ITSM processes Good in Data Structure, Algorithms and Design Patterns
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills
  • Excellent in design thinking and approach to solve business problem by applying suitable technologies (cost efficient, high performance, resilient and scalable)
  • Should have worked in an agile team and good understanding of Scrum/Kanban.
  • Good oral & written communication Skills
  • Available to work in shifts:
- 3:30PM - 1:00AM - 11:00AM - 8:30PMPreferred Qualifications:
  • Coordination, negotiation, and persuasion skills
  • History of managing and tracking Scrum work with the Rally tool
  • Experience with ATDD and XP
  • Experience in development and architecture in Java technology
  • Proven program & project management skills
  • Budget, resource management and planning skills
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking abilities
  • Proven success producing results in a development delivery organization
  • Fact-based decision-making approach, emotional intelligence and integrity
