Senior Principal Engineer About Business Unit and Team:We are looking for talented, driven, self-starter individuals to join our Telco BU engineering team. The role requires the ability to conduct development, test, and delivery of software products for the Telco market. This market consists of Communications Service Providers (i.e., Telco, cable), Managed Service Providers, Hosting companies, Content Delivery Networks, Cloud providers and Consumer/Enterprise Web Technology providers.Our engineering team is responsible for the creation and delivery of great software products and solutions. This is a growth area for the company, and many unique and exciting opportunities are available for individual & team growth, consequently.The ideal candidate for these positions will be a mid-career individual with a strong background in user interface while working in a collaborative environment with user experience designers, product management, and other engineering peers. Key Skills/Experience needed for The Role 8-14 years of experience with following Skills :
• Experience with front end HTML5/CSS/JavaScript development frameworks (jQuery, Bootstrap, extJS, Knockout, Angular, React, Vue)
• Knowledge/Experience with using and/or building different component libraries (VMware Clarity, KendoUI, BootstrapUI, Angular Material)
• Strong proficiency with JavaScript and Typescript
• Knowledge/Experience of APIs, Web Services, JSON
• Knowledge/Experience with full stack engineering languages (Java, Go, PHP, .NET, NodeJS, SqlServer, etc.)
• Experience with Test-driven development model, CI/CD/CT processes, agile development with Jira/Github/Jenkins/Collaborator or similar tools
• Candidate is expected to have strong debugging, triaging and troubleshooting skills
Preferred experience :
• Working with UX designers including exposure to Requirement analysis, Story breakdown, Wireframes, Icons, SVG, Graphic manipulation, Build Systems
• Has accountability for helping bring the UX to life by identifying the correct, framework, architecture, and technology that are needed to create the user interface
• Be the vital cog between product development org, UX and front-end/back-end engineering
Domain knowledge :
• Work experience in developing User Interfaces for Data center products
• Familiarity with common open-source tools / platforms, and Linux expertise
• Experience with server management platforms such as Dell OME, OMNM, HP OneView
Key Responsibilities
• Implementation and delivery of UI for Bare metal automation solutions using Agile methodologies
• Close collaboration with Pan Dell UX Team to develop state of the art User Interfaces
• Key player in the complete software life cycle from requirements leading to design and development in CI/CD frameworks
• Demonstrate the ability to work and thrive in fast paced virtual development environments
Qualifications
• B.E./B. Tech/ MCA with at least 8-14 years of experience or M.E./M. Tech in Computer Science with similar experience
• Technical understanding of the core hardware elements of an enterprise data center (i.e. compute, networking, and storage)
• Experience with Agile or Lean processes required
• Proficiency with Linux environments
• Excellent Communication skills written and oral
