Building this ecosystem offers the promise to harness data from across alliances in a secure, harmonized manner.Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:- Responsible for the data engineering, data modelling and data quality activities for the data42 program as per the governance defined at data42 program- Drive PoC / MVP / Industrialization of data pipelines product in Product Lines- Design, create, test, and maintain optimal data pipeline to ensure that it supports the requirements of the stakeholders- Delivery of clear, maintainable, and well-tested code in a timely manner Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.- Adopt and improve on the strong engineering practices followed by technology teams- Driving the production issue in cases any code optimization needed on spark cluster- Performing the code review to ensure the best practices are implemented to avoid re-invent-of-wheel- Collaboration with data managers, and technology teams to document and leverage their understanding of the data - Actively participate in agile work practices EEO Statement Novartis is committed to building an outstanding, inclusive work environment and diverse teams representative of the patients and communities we serve.Minimum requirements What you ll bring to the role:- Bachelor s/Masters degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, or any other technology related field.- 8+ years of experience in IT, with 6+ years of exp in AWS Big Data, Advanced Analytics and Palantir Foundry- In-depth understanding of Palantir Foundry with hands on experience on Foundry with Code Repository, Code Workbook, Contour, Fusion, Data Lineage, etc.- Working experience in AWS cloud technologies and tools in core services and programming languages primarily Python, PySpark and R.- Strong in API based architecture and concept. Able to do quick PoC using API integration and development- Able to design and implement data integration between Palantir Foundry and external Apps based on Foundry data connector framework- Good knowledge of Big Data framework and related technologies (Spark, Kafka, Hadoop, NoSQL.) and DevOps tools (Artifactory, CI/CD Frameworks)- Knowledge in adoption of quality engineering practices while working on data engineering activities with Agile and scrum methodologies knowledgeDesirable requirements:- Knowledge in pharma domain.- Good to have HPCE working knowledgeWhy consider Novartis 769 million lives were touched by Novartis medicines in 2020, and while we re proud of this, we know there is so much more we could do to help improve and extend people s lives.We believe new insights, perspectives and ground-breaking solutions can be found at the intersection of medical science and digital innovation.
