Job Description

    * Job Purpose: This role would be responsible for ensuring the handling of all Legal aspects of the banking and litigations. Give proper legal assistance and guidance to the Regional team and Various internal stake holders on legal issues. Responsibilities Key Responsibilities: Ensure the legal advice in the matters given by the various internal stake holders of the bank in coordination with the regional Legal team . Framing/ review of policies and on all documents, contracts and agreements relating to the business operations to protect the organization against any legal exposure and minimize liability. Litigation Management
    1. Provide pragmatic and effective legal advice using research tools and interpretation skills to achieve business objectives. As expert of laws, provide consultative guidance for Bank s strategic goals, objectives and partnerships.
    2. Assist in the review and negotiation process of contracts, letters of agreement, policies and other documents related to banking products and operational matters. Effectively manage outsourcing contracts and mortgages. Ability to innovate & standardize documents to make them customer friendly is crucial.
    3. Support in vetting contracts like NDAs, service contracts, leases, outsourcing contracts, etc.
    4. Handling the litigations in various locations coordinating with the legal team and lawyers
    5. Appearing before various Courts, Tribunals, Commissions, Appellate Tribunals and Regulatory Authorities for resolving critical issues as and when required
    6. Appointment law firms/Advocates as and when required
    7. Interaction with the other stake holders in the company for proper follow up and actions
    8. Keeping proper MIS and data updation
    9. Establish compliance standards and compliance frameworks based on internal policies and local law & regulations
    10. Participate in the development of transparent and legally sound process and policies. Conduct risk reviews and develop procedures designed to reduce legal risk. Develop trust and strong relationships with internal stakeholders. Qualifications: Graduate in any Degree Experience: 8+ years of experience in managing MIS & reporting especially in Banking/NBFC Competencies: High level of integrity, professionalism and attention to detail.
    • Excellent MIS and analytical skills.
    • Familiar with MIS Reporting (developing reports using SQL, VBA, and Advance MS Excel, Tableau & BI tools).
