Job Description

Job TitleSpotfire EngineerLocation(s)HyderabadThis role is primarily responsible for adiminstering and monitoring TIBCO Spotfire Platform.Leverage technologies such as IronPython, and JavaScript to extend the capabilities of the Spotfire platform to meet project objectives.This role requires excellent communication skills, both with team members and business contacts at all levelsIn addition, this role must be able to work with minimal or no supervision on multiple concurrent complex projects, and to co-ordinate the work of others in this environment.Essential Function:

  • Install, configure, upgrade and monitor multiple components associated with the TIBCO Spotfire platform.
  • Deploy client and server hotfixes.
  • Configure various authentication mechanisms such as Active Directory, OpenID Connect, SAML 2.0 etc.
  • Perform Library, Licenses, User and Group administration activities
  • Troubleshoot environment issues
  • Design and implement TIBCO Spotfire dashboards
  • Extend the TIBCO Spotfire platform using IronPython, JavaScript and TIBCO Spotfire API
  • Configure connections to a wide range of data sources such as SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Teradata, Hortonworks Hive etc.
  • Ensure on time, high quality deliverables and meeting project milestones and deadlines within budget with minimal supervision

  • Bachelor s Degree.
  • Six plus years of work experience with installing, configuring and utilizing BI tools such as TIBCO Spotfire, Tableau, Power BI etc.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Great understanding of dashboard design and programming principles
  • Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company s success
  • Experience with Linux and Windows platforms
  • Proficiency in one or more of the following: (Oracle, SQL Server, Hadoop, Mongo DB)
  • Possess strong data analysis and technical skills
  • Expertise in implementing efficient SQL queries
  • Strong coding/scripting skills (IronPython / JavaScript)
  • Possess good written and oral communication skills as well as presentation skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new environments
  • Self-driven and motivated individual that takes pride in the development of high quality, on time, within budget projects
  • Demonstrated ability to develop visualizations and reports using BI tools
  • The qualified candidate will work in an Agile/Scrum delivery model.
  • Practical visualization/report development working directly with teams.
  • Proficient in both project and product delivery methods.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and meeting facilitation skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and apply knowledge to solutions.
  • Awareness of AWS environment.
