Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develops, enhances, debugs, supports, maintains and tests software applications that support business units or supporting functions
  • Participates in the design, development and implementation of complex applications, often using new technologies
  • May provide technical direction and system architecture for individual initiatives
  • Serves as a fully seasonedproficient technical resource
  • Will not have direct reports but may lead projects and direct activities of a team related to special initiatives or operations
  • May collaborate with external programmers to coordinate delivery of software application
  • Routine accountability for technical knowledge and capabilities
  • Must be able to work independently, while guiding and assisting other support team members as needed
  • Strong problem solving, analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, to design, develop, test, debug, and maintain application programs
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to changes

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience required
  • Cognos BI Administration experience
  • L3 Production Support and Weekend On-call Support experience
  • Solid understanding of Cognos Architecture
  • Strong analyticalproblem solving skills
  • SQL coding skills
  • Knowledge on Linux, SSO
  • Excellent communication skills

    • Experienced with Oracle or other RDBMS
