Main Purpose: The Network Specialist Lead is responsible for leading the global support team that provides operational support of all network services and components such WAN, LAN, WLAN, authentication, DDI, and security related services. This candidate will work in PepsiCo s ServiceNow platform to capture details on incident, problems, changes, requests, and other ITSM services. The ideal candidate will have deep experience of networking technologies, such as routing, switching, wireless networking, network security managing next-generation firewalls, proxy systems, DNS and DHCP systems. The candidate should have experience troubleshooting and configurating Cisco, Arista, Juniper, and Palo Alto technical solution with related management tools would be mandatory. Experience should be focused on recovery of services to reduce business impacts during all priorities of outages. The Network Lead will also provide KPI reports in order to measure the overall performance of the network services and the team s performance. Accountabilities: Lead a team of network specialist located around the globe whose goal is to drive day to day technical incident to minimize outages and improve resolution times. On board future candidate as the team members change Develop and maintain an on-call rotation schedule to ensure timely response and global coverage during high priority network outage Support operations direction and design issues as well as influence peers, cross-functional partners, Effectively presenting facts and recommendations in oral and written form QualificationsRequirements Years of Experience: 8-10 years of experience in network security device operation esply firewall Mandatory Technical skills: 8-10 years of experience in supporting global network services including WAN, LAN WLAN, firewalls, proxy, load balancers, authentication systems, IP services, and other network security related services. Experience should be related to troubleshooting of all services within the PepsiCo Global network portfolio. Good knowledge of high-availability (HA) configurations and related management tool. Experience in managing and coordinating network and firewall changes (rules, logs etc.). Requires in-depth knowledge of TCPIP and communication protocols. Knowledge of IPSec, GRE tunnels, multi casting and traffic balancing techniques essential. Hands-on experience with all phases of network operations Experience with the ITIL processes. (Incident, Change, Request, Problem, Release, CMDBAsset, etc.) Ability to tackle complex network issues in the LAN and WAN networks and working with multiple application and system teams to identify bottlenecks and other network configuration issues. Must possess the ability to learn multiple areas of a new technology and rapidly growing current technical and advisory knowledge Knowledge of network routing (BGP, EIGRP) and switching protocols, multicast and QoS protocols, Cisco hardware routers and switches, hands on experience with Cisco Nexus switches is a plus. Excellent oral and written communication skills including ability to interact optimally with executives, vendors and department staff. Experience in tracking project outcomes realization and customer happiness levels through established metrics against service level.
