Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Sr. Research Associate to join the in-vitro and in-vivo biology team in our Research Department at Nektar Therapeutics. The successful candidate will have a major role in the planning and execution of animal studies and tracking of study progress with regular data updates. Will support the optimization of animal models as per the needs of pipeline projects. The successful candidate will also be responsible for supporting in-vitro activities including sample processing.RequirementsM.Pharm or MSc or MTech with specialization in Pharmacology/Life Science/Animal Science. 6-8 years of relevant in-vivo experience required. Experience with development of acute and or chronic disease model infectious/oncology/inflammation.

  • Hands on experience in animal handling, dosing through various routes of administration (IV, IP, SC, PO, and IM).
  • Collection of samples (Blood, Plasma, Serum and Tissues) as per the needs of the study requirement.
  • Data collection, analysis using various statistical tools (eg prism) and upkeep of documents as per statutory requirements.
  • Hands-on experience with in-vitro isolation of cells from tissue/organ of animal source, ELISA, and multiplex assays is a plus and preferred.
Must be able to multitask and demonstrate the ability to manage time and resources effectively.Strong verbal and written communication skills are needed. Candidate must have a sense of urgency and desire to get things done effectively and efficiently. Must be able to demonstrate success in technical proficiency, scientific literature search and technical support for carrying out various project activities. Must be willing to work as a part of cross functional team and be able to demonstrate good interpersonal skills.,
