If you have this type of passion, we invite you to take a look at the opportunities available to come join our team.Senior DevOps EngineerTHE ROLE:Our team writes large-scale infrastructure and tools in C#, Perl and C++ for Windows and Linux. Our software is utilized during all stages of product development across multiple AMD sites and includes distributed automation and build processes, web applications and databases to track millions of records generated by thousands of systems. We are constantly adapting our software development processes (e.g. continuous integration, unit testing and TDD, code reviews) to manage the challenges we accept.THE PERSON:We are looking for Senior Devops Engineer with SCM Expertise. The Engineer will be responsible for SCM Systems (GitHub and Gerrit), as well as the design and deployment of the automated CI solutions. The ability to work on multiple platforms and to design reusable and scalable modules is critical.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prototype, design, and implement CI/CD solutions.
  • Work with various development teams to implement strong branching and code promotion strategies.
  • Configure the new repository, create build pipeline, perform code review and test steps. Create fully integrated and feature-rich solutions.
  • Develop and maintain DevOps pipelines for integration of software components in diverse environments.
  • Document technical and design decisions for other team members
  • Build tools and automation that eliminate repetitive tasks and Seek, profile existing/ new architectures for improvements.
  • Mentor junior team members in coding, designing, and reviewing implementations.
  • Be involved in support of the existing production environment.
  • Provide estimates and costing for different development tasks and once committed, stick to schedules.
Required Skills and Experience
  • Extensive administrative knowledge in Linux & Windows
  • 6+ years of working experience in DevOps and good knowledge of implementing DevOps best practices.
  • 3+ year of experience in Github or Github Enterprise administration is mandatory
  • In-depth knowledge of code collaboration tool - Gerrit (Administration level experience needed)
  • Good experience in build automation/orchestration frameworks: Jenkins and Artifactory
  • Strong expertise in all of DevOps toolchains: Python, Groovy, Bash, CMake, GNU Make
  • Good experience in Perl Scripting
  • Solid understanding of bug tracking software: Jira
  • Practical expertise in performance tuning and optimization, analysis of bottleneck problems
  • Passion for building great software and strong grasp of automation tools
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
  • Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent
