These back-end services will serve information and our user interfaces will let customers use the payment instrument for variety of use cases with ease. You will work with Principal Engineers at Amazon to evolve the design and architecture of the products owned by this team. You will be responsible to set up and hold a high software quality bar besides providing technical direction to a highly technical team of Software Engineers., 4+ years of professional software development experience 3+ years of programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design 2+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems Experience in translating requirements into technical design specifications and documentation, as well as executing development projects from conception to delivery. Excellent grasp of algorithms and data structures Experience communicating with business owners, sometimes across many time zones Good understanding of system architecture and design and experience with large distributed systems Enthusiasm, creativity, and inventiveness: You will be asked to find new ways to solve challenging problems Cloud Computing (AWS, Azure) Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations Outstanding written and communication skills Demonstrated innovation Able to learn large scale, complex systems quickly
