Careers that Change Lives The Senior Software V&V Engineer position, based in Hyderabad, India, is responsible for various Software Quality Assurance functions during the software development lifecycle of complex software systemsA Day in the Life The Sr Software Quality Assurance Engineer position, based in Hyderabad, India, is responsible for ensuring that developed software meets and complies with defined or standardized quality specifications throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC) of Web Application/Client Server software.The individual will be a part of a professional Software Quality Assurance team and will work collaboratively with Software development engineers and other cross functional teams on various assigned projects.This position is participating in assuring high level of software quality through various verification and validztion activities, including development of test strategies, test plans, test procedures, test execution and documentation of various software platforms (i.e. Client-server, web-based, real-time OS etc.) and validation/qualification of third-party software components and non-product software.The individual will report to the Sr Eng. Supervisor and be a part of a project team that may consist of on and offsite resources and will work closely with software developers and other cross functional team members. Must Have Job Respobsibilities Plan, Develop and execute software testing (both manual and automated) based on the context of functional requirements and risks associated with the software items.Participate in design and code reviews, test analysis and support the development of documentation required as objective evidence for software verification & validation (plan, protocols, results and reports).Must be able to communicate and collaborate test activities, tasks schedule and resource assignment with the cross-functional team for both on or off-site (India and USA) teams.Monitor test results and check exit criteria. Adjust test planning based on test results and progress. Introduce suitable metrics for test progress and the quality of the software itemsShould have an understanding of database operations (SQL querying) and some understanding of AWS design terminologies.Be able to run and troubleshoot the unit/integration test script written in Java.Familiar with the Agile Software development methodology. Familiar with continuous integration, configuration management and traceability tools.Participate in other quality assurance functions, including, but not limited to, supporting compliance audits, test automation strategy and development.Involvement in Innovation, technical discussion s, product/process improvements and KaizansHelping/Guiding other team members in resolutions of issues/queries related to automation and productCoach/Mentor the Project Team on Web Applications/Client Server AutomationMinimum Qualifications & Specialized Knowledge required ME/MTech/BE/BTech in Electronics & Communication Engineering, Computer Science or relevant field.Minimum 8 years in software quality assurance, V&V or software quality development.Or, some medical device product experience (preferably medical devices) or regulated fieldsAt least 6 years Working experience in SWQA of Web/Client-Server ApplicationsSome working experience in a prescriptive software development environment following a well-defined software development process.Understand test automation concept, and scripting languages (e.g. Test Complete, Selenium or Appium and SOAP UI, Python, Perl, etc.)Experience with any cloud Native technology will be a huge plusExperience in developing new automation framework from scratch (E.g. Page Object Model, Cucumber, Jbehave, TDD, BDD, TestNG, Junit, Maven, Pytest etc)Experience in Test report tools like Extent, ANT XSLT, Allure Report etc.Experience in Continous integration(CI/CD) tools like Jenkins, Bamboo etc.Excellent verbal and written communication skills and works well in a tightly coupled teamNice to Haves Membership in one or more professional societies and/or professional certification (e.g. CSQE, CSTE, etc.).Familiarity with FDA regulations and recommended practices regarding software (21CFR 820.30, IEC 62304:2015, ISO 14971:2012).Understand Requirements Management, configuration management and defect tracking concepts.About Medtronic Together, we can change healthcare worldwide.
