Job Description

Responsible for development, support, maintenance of medium complex components working as a fully contributing team member, under broad supervision/ guidance. Requires solid knowledge of at least one technology/ programming language. Expected to further build upon domain knowledge and technical/ proprietary skills to reach levels of expertise. Provides support for simple to medium complex troubleshooting requirements. May be required to work as on-call support or in shifts

Responsibilities

  • This position will perform the following duties in support of the Line of Business (LOB) database team:
  • Non-Production/Production DDL / DML Service Requests
  • Non-Production/Production Break / Fix Resolution
  • Non-Production/Production Database Refresh
  • Production Release
  • Database Account Service Requests
  • Database Backup and Recovery
  • High Availability Implementation and Maintenance
  • Monitoring and Health Checks

Requirements

  • Education : Any Graduate
  • Certifications If Any: NA
  • Experience Range: 2 to 4 years
  • Mandatory skills
  • 2 4 years of experience in Database administration
  • 1+ years of experience in High Availability systems like RAC/ Golden gate etc
  • Candidate should be good in performance tuning
  • Good knowledge in of the scripting languages i.e. Unix Shell scripting / Perl / Python
  • Installation, configuration and upgrading of Oracle server software and related products
  • Should be strong in Oracle RAC , ASM Active Data guard.
  • Should be an added advantage if prior experience on Exadata Goldengate
  • Able to handle pressure situations since team has got stringent SLAs.
  • Establish and maintain sound backup and recovery policies and procedures
  • Implement and maintain database security (create and maintain users and roles, assign privileges)
  • Plan growth and changes (capacity planning)
  • Work as part of a team and provide 24X7 support when required
  • Desired skills
  • Shell Scripting, PL/ SQL

Work Timings: 6:30 to 3:30 1:30 to 10:30 (Rotational shifts)
