Do you want to be part of a billion dollar opportunity Value Added Services (VAS) team (Also popularly known as Amazon Home Services (AHS)) in Hyderabad, India is developing a WW Services platform which will make it possible to sell services (like Plumber, Electrician, Installation, House Cleaning, Oil Change etc.) with the same degree of convenience and flexibility we sell products. We are looking to hire smart and highly motivated engineering team members who will work towards launching this next wave of disruptive services platform for Amazon.The Role:Were seeking a Sr. Technical Program Manager. In this role you will be responsible for scoping and delivering large projects end-to-end. Responsibilities include collection of business and systems requirements from internal and external customers, writing specifications, driving project schedules from design to release, and managing the production launch. You will lead and coordinate design/implementation efforts between internal teams and outside partners to develop optimal solutions. You will be expected to make appropriate trade-offs to optimize time-to-market, clearly communicate goals, roles, responsibilities, and desired outcomes to internal cross-functional and remote project teams.The right candidate will possess a strong program management background, will have demonstrated experience leading medium to large projects, and will have a well-rounded technical background in current cloud technologies. You must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. This means you are not only able to develop and drive high-level strategic initiatives, but can also roll up your sleeves, dig in and get the job done. As a Sr. TPM, you will anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make trade-offs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints. An ability to take large, complex projects and break them down into manageable pieces, develop functional specifications, then deliver them in a timely manner., Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related technical field 8+ years of industry experience working on a software development team (as a developer, TPM or QA engineer) 5+ years of Technical Program Management experience in software development industry. 5+ years of experience owning a program/product/feature, scoping requirements, planning milestones, project management and working with technical teams Proven track record of leading large cross-functional software projects. Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment Ability to roll up sleeves and operate as an individual contributor to get the job done; at the same time be able to guide a team toward an objective. Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and key partners for the program Strong judgment, especially relevant in balancing long term strategic investments with near term business goals. Able to provide architectural guidance and direction throughout the project lifecycle. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with developers, business owners, and senior business leaders Master s Degree in Computer Science/Math or related field Exposure to large-scale distributed systems and scaling strategies Prior experience as a software developer
