Strategic Sourcing Manager for External Supply suppliers within the Supplier Relationship Teams. Commercial management of selected contract manufacturing suppliers. This includes proactively scoping, initiating and leading cost efficiency projects in conjunction with business stakeholders and other areas of spend related to general Technical Operations to add value and reduce costs in specific areas of spend. Brings deep knowledge of product categoryYour Responsibilities: Strategic activities : Lead commercial management of suppliers. Support regionally for search and evaluation of 3rd parties including RFX , due diligences, business case preparation for new launches and/ or transfers projects Support due diligences at third parties, audits. Negotiation of manufacturing and supply agreements, coordination for all other agreements connected to QA. Deep knowledge of costs, technologies, capabilities and capacities of third parties available to Novartis on markets for product categories assigned. Drive generation of savings initiatives in all areas of the business. Negotiate, re - negotiate pricing with third parties. Keep track of manufacturing costs, benchmarks and targets, production techniques and machinery potential for key suppliers. Support development of business strategy and partnership with selected key suppliers. Ensure Interaction with global SRTs/ Sourcing teams analyze risk/ opportunities operational and financial. Prepare budgets and ensure continuous reporting of, cost Savings calculation reconciliations (validated by BPA) fees and Non production costs ( Budget, LEs, Spend & Savings report) . Maintain the Contracts database and prepare key term sheets to highlight agreements milestones and main clauses. Promote and maintain continuous improvement of processes within Novartis and in interaction with suppliers win - win sourcing any opportunities. Support / perform evaluation and preparation of business cases Make or Buy, transfers & changes. Support local SRTs for strategic sourcing related activities when required, or be integral part of local STRs. React to quality & supply issues deviations. Keep track of KPIs and dashboardsMinimum requirementsWhat you ll bring to the role: Bachelor s / Masters degree in business or economics. Fluent English , local language and additional languages preferred. Minimum 5 - 8 years professional experience in pharmaceutical area or fast moving consumer goods area.
