Job Description

What is Supervisor PMO in Fiduciary Project Management Office (PMO) team responsible for

  • The Supervisor leads and advances the program and project management, and analysis capabilities of project professionals. The Supervisor manages professional employees and/or skilled, business support employees (i.e., business analysts) for a defined team and/or workgroup and acts as advisor to team/workgroup and may become actively involved, as required, to meet schedules and resolve problems. Decisions and problem solving are guided by policies, procedures and department plan; receives guidance from leader.
What are the ongoing responsibilities of a Supervisor PMO Responsibilities include:Strategy and Business Transformation:
  • Provides input to division objectives; sets goals for department in support of functional and/or operational plans.
  • Ensures necessary resources are in place to satisfy goals and metrics and is accountable to performance and results.
  • Leads change acceptance and communicates business context to align change efforts with business objectives.
  • Leads efforts to observe trends in industry and business demand; assess impact to department and recommend change to senior leaders.
  • Implements, and evaluates functional projects of substantive scope, complexity and impact.
  • Enables culture of continuous improvement and leads continuous improvement teams.
  • Supports holistic or integrative thinking to strengthen enterprise collaboration.
Project Delivery and Operational:
  • Manages progression of project delivery activities through professionals to achieve expected outcomes for team and/or department.
  • Leverages industry knowledge and expertise to make products/service recommendations with respect to issues, opportunities and improvements, focusing on effective, innovative solutions.
  • May suggest alternatives to achieve operational and business objectives while managing risk.
  • Provides input to strategy roadmap for department, leveraging their business domain knowledge and expertise.
  • Contributes to financial plan and business goals in response to changing business and economic environment and ensures business goals are met within established financial targets.
  • Understands and communicates business/financial climate and impact to business or department decisions/prioritization.

Talent Management:
  • Identifies behaviors and skillsets required to achieve mid-term (6 mos. - 1 year) business objectives, articulates skillset gaps and surpluses in alignment with such objectives, and leads efforts to prepare workforce to achieve those objectives.
  • Builds capabilities to enable accelerated capability delivery, agility, and collaboration to achieve business outcomes.
  • Understands current and forecasted work volumes and staffing needs required to meet service goals and ensures department is staffed appropriately.
, What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful Education And Experience:
  • Bachelor s degree in accounting, finance or business.
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience either directly supervising employees or acting as a senior team member and resource leader in a team management setting.
  • Requires 3+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong ability to be a team player.
  • Strong analytical ability.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities:
  • Solid analytical and project management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work on multiple deadline orientated tasks.
  • Self motivated
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Knowledge of business desktop applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, MS Teams) and project management tools like MS Project, Jira and Confluence
Problem Solving And Decision Making:
  • Strong problem solving skills.
  • Ability to document and analyze risks with assistance and understand how controls are implemented to appropriately mitigate.
  • Good understanding of industry & financial markets and ability to make decisions based upon risk.
Customer Service:
  • Maintain good relationships with business partners and 3rd parties.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Supervises professional level staff in multiple locations.
  • Assists in making hire, termination, promotion and merit decisions .
Licenses And Certifications:
  • Certified Disciplined Agilist - Disciplined Agile Consortium (optional)
  • Project Management Professional PMI (optional)
