Systems Engineer Clarivate Analytics (LS) Position Description:This is a full time Systems Engineer position within the LS business unit of Clarivate supporting the Life-Sciences web applications & services.The applicant should preferably have 3 years of IT experience preferably as a system administrator or software engineer or as an operational/product support engineer.What we are looking for:- Troubleshooting & fixing production incidents- Managing & implementing monitoring solutions- Performing software deployments- Performing cloud-infrastructure maintenance & backups- Working closely with the different stake holders (Development/QA Teams, Customer Support Teams, Other DevOps Teams, etc. ) adhering to Agile methodologies- Create automation processes for the aforementioned stakeholders with DevOps tools GIT, Jenkins, Rundeck, Airflow.- Undertaking any other reasonable duties as requested by your line manager/director on a permanent or temporary basis.- Taking An enthusiastic approach to extending knowledge and learning new skills.- Strong UNIX / Linux skills command line interface (2 years).- Knowledge in shell/python scripting- Knowledge in SQL and Database Concepts, specifically Oracle.- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.What the candidate should have worked on:- A 24x7 production support environment following ITIL Processes.- Experience troubleshooting web services (SOAP, RestFul)- Multi-tiered GUI web applications- Extract-Transform-Loading (ETL) process.- Deployments and Releases, automated and manualWhat the candidate is expected to do:- 3 years work experience in IT which includes working in production support roles & software development roles.- Expert level knowledge on Terraform, AWS, Python.- Willingness to work in Shifts on Weekdays to work with your Global Counterparts- Willingness to be available on-call for a week per month ( this is between 11-PM to 06-AM on a weekday and throughout the weekend )Minimum Qualifications:- Bachelors degree in Engineering, related technical degree or equivalent work experience.It is the policy of Clarivate to provide equal employment opportunity (EEO) to all persons regardless of age, color, national origin, citizenship status, physical or mental disability, race, religion, creed, gender, pregnancy, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and/or expression, genetic information, marital status, status with regard to public assistance, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local law.
