Job Requisition: Systems Engineer Primary Location: Hyderabad The Systems Engineer will work on challenging problems, SLA based deliverables and have the responsibility of ensuring the application up and running almost all the time. He/ She will be directly responsible for smooth execution of application jobs, and close monitoring of output results/ counts. The data sets under analysis are inter- related that needs attention to process them in a logical sequence. So, proficiency in setting up the scheduling jobs and monitoring the same, is required. Application s main objective is building Customer Relationship and Remarketing. It s done by sending promotional emails targeting potential buyers (based on data analysis) and, not to send repeated emails within a specified frequency as per legal standards. Responsibilities: Script Development: Develop scripts for client application enhancements, data management including but not limited to, back- up of source data and outputs, comparison report generation and fixes to the issues Monitoring: Closely monitor client application covering important phases starting with the input files all the way thru the final delivery of application output, on a daily basis. This job needs special attention and focus in prioritizing the jobs (over other application jobs) in case of any cluster issues/ slowdown as it is SLA driven Operations Support: Ensure source files are received for the day and, coordinate with Client contact in the cases of non- receipt. Closely work with client and engineering teams for smooth execution of the application. Experience and Qualifications: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or a related field (we will consider applicants with a Bachelor s degree and relevant work experience as well) 5 years of work experience in real- world applications using Linux/ Unix, Hadoop ecosystem and relational databases A strong work experience in Unix Shell scripting is a MUST and should have working knowledge on monitoring tools viz., Nagios and Jenkins Work experience on Hive SQL, Python and Amazon AWS/ S3 is preferred Strong written and oral communication skills Strong inter- personal collaboration skills and should be able to both work in groups or as an individual contributor under aggressive timelines Flexible to work in a shift schedule Neustar does not accept unsolicited resumes from external firms or agencies.
